Best Sport To Bet Overall?

I am a longtime member, but a rookie in the writing part. I have grown up with all types of gamblers and quite a few bookies. I have always been told by the bookies that their best sport for them making a profit is football season. They have also told me that their worse sport is basketball. (They still make money, but hardly any...poor things) My question is...what is the best sport that you wager on in terms of profit? Mine is actually football season. I am guessing that I am one of the lucky ones.

Football (soccer) is the best sport to bet overall. But you should choose only medium and weak leagues with pronounced favorites to bet.
Spain, England, Italy, France, Germany are not the best countries with the local leagues to bet and the winner can be always unpredictable.

Thanks Bembry. I have always wondered how people made out betting on soccer. I am guessing it is the biggest gambling sport in the world based on popularity. May the gambling Gods always be in your favor.

I personally once saw the opportunity to bet on games. I was interested in Dota2. I was amazed. For mien, it will remain the most interesting betting sport. I plan to make bets on the next tournament in August

i would have to agree on soccer being pretty soft (except in a few bigger leagues)

I had a bet yesterday with line opening at +124, now its down to -170, and this happens often.

Alas, the betting gods had me on 10 unit losing streak despite beating the line regularly in soccer...

Betting Live In-Game on any sport can be tedious, time consuming, dangerous, yet extremely profitable. I do not suggest it if you have children or a wife who do not understand though.

Specific sports: Auto Racing, Hockey and Soccer. Baseball used to be great, but it has drastically changed in my opinion.
